My record store story: I used to treat myself to Pasadena's Poo-Bah Records in its old location on Walnut Street on occasional weekends. Once when I arrived the familiar clerk at the register looked up and announced, "Here comes the guy who pays my salary." At the time I was single and sans kids. I don't expect I'll ever hear a similar remark. (Speaking of being single, today's my and wifey-poo's 16th angryversary! And speaking of record stores, we're heading tomorrow to Chicago. Jazz Record Mart, here I come!)
