Superb self-taught singer / guitarist Mamadou Kelly, from the heart of northern Mali’s blues delta, carries on the captivating style he honed playing with the late great Ali Farka Toure.

He joins us tonight with his stellar ensemble Ban Kai Na, on tour - with stops at Joe's Pub on Wednesday July 27th and Union Pool on Wednesday August 10th - in support of Mamadou's splendid new album Djamila (Clermont Music).

Massive thanks to Chris Nolan of Clermont Music, bringing the captivating desert sounds of northern Mali to the world, and our illustrious engineers Gil Shuster and Guy Weltchek!

Mamadou Kelly and Ban Kai Na at Union Pool, 484 Union Ave, Brooklyn, Wednesday August 10th at 8 pm.

Eligibility: Priority to those who have not won tickets on this show this month - but all may enter.

Note: Winners may be added to the TSP email list which is used for occassional giveaways, announcements of live remotes from Barbes and Golden Fest and our annual HONK!
