@Wile Neil: do you ever worry that you are a bit too wild? like what if it's so off the chain you're a madman. this is all hypothetical of course.

Good morning imaginary radio friends
Avatar 9:21am
Chris M.:

there had better be a LOT of comments today. i mean TONS of them. i want a flood of comments like noah's ark style rescue 2 aminals ea but don't stop commenting
Avatar 9:23am
Chris from DC:

If you can get me out my upcoming phone meeting I'll comment all morning.
Avatar 9:24am
Wild Neil:

@Chris M...I used to hang out with Wild Bob...who was REALLY wild. I was just kind of a sidekick partying all the time on the weekends at his house with friends, playing pool, drinking beer and other stuff....
I think the Wild now means more along the lines that I am a nationalist redneck and thus more earthy, natural and in a sense pure, a throwback.
Chris, do you have a problem with multiple comments in rapid succession? I can get wild that way if permitted. I usally try to allow 2 minutes to pass per Ken who once told me and Cliff to put the brakes on.
Avatar 9:24am
Chris M.:

@Chris from DC: just tell me who to call and you're out
Avatar 9:25am
Chris M.:

@Wild Neil: Wild Bob sounds mental. you can comment as much as you like here.
Avatar 9:25am

Appropriately, we are experiencing a massive downpour. I just had to go rescue a couple of bus-bound co-workers who were thoroughly soaked.
Avatar 9:28am
Wild Neil:

Another Crazy guy named Pincus HATED wild Bob when he met him...my sister said Pincus sounded mental....was Bob actually mental? Was Pincus? Pincus is on another continent and incommudicado now...Pincus and I used to do marital arts in the streets of China Town (well, Pike street and environs) for fun....wooden sword fights and stuff...nothing crazy mind you....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Hello, all. Time to study the habits of highly imaginary people!
Avatar 9:28am
Wild Neil:

Pincus claimed he was "the subconscious creation of [an art student] " and would go to her art critiques and present himself as her artwork, walking talking artwork.
Avatar 9:29am
Wild Neil:

without her consent I think.
Avatar 9:30am
Chris M.:

anyone named Pincus was definitely a full on mentalist i have no doubt
Avatar 9:30am

I used to spit in my sandbox and then eat the wet sand...is that too wild? I think I was four....

Pincus is a genius and has a patent.

Avatar 9:33am

I heard 25% of the American population is diagnosable per the DSM IV in any given year...that his the handbook for mental health professionals....what does that say?
Avatar 9:35am
Chris M.:

@Wild Neil: it says where are all these people why aren't they listening to my show right now?
Avatar 9:39am
Wild Neil:

@Chris-your show is one of my top 3 usually. Irwin, Brian Turner, Ken and Andy 7SD and sometimes Ken's show. Hearty White was pretty cool with his beat poetry the other night while alphabetizing my CD collection. I am sure I am omitting some too....oh, the Long Rally....sometimes Fabio is awesome....
Avatar 9:40am
Wild Neil:

Joe Belok ! Usually awesome!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:40am

I heard, from Bernie Sanders, that 3/4ths of the 2% of that 25% have mentalist capabilities.

I think there are more than 7. They are all equally good. It depends on the week. Garbage Time is awesome!

Chris, at times your show is sublime. Its like art....some pieces are better than others, IMHO.
Avatar 9:50am

Right now it's my favorite. Tuned in at Shackleton. Another lesson in how DJs are so much better than shuffle mode. I guess it's the Jimmy Edgar featuring Rochelle Jordan in the middle that got me to log in.
Avatar 9:51am
Wild Neil:

I think everybody's show is like that....sometimes some shows suck, others are great, it always varies. I have no "favorite" DJ....it would be impossible to be consistently sublime week after week yet still take chances....taking chances is what makes WFMU great....

@WN: Those Mercury recordings--and I think yours is a re-issue, but those, too--are generally very good.

Before we legislate re LP covers, we need to enforce a consistent way of closing twist ties. You know, "Rightie-tighty, Lefty-loosey," or some such.

@Cecile-I used to call that "the ignorance factor". I found a GREAT bunch of albums in a church thrift store with no weekend hours....in a suburban part of town off the beaten path....a Neil Young bootleg!
@Brian-pet peeve, twist ties done wrong way or worse BOTH ways since they didn't know how!

I had the best turkey club sandwich of my life in Cody, Wyoming at a small, family run restaurant. The owner had roasted the turkey and grown the lettuce and tomatoes in her backyard. I am not a "foodie" but this sandwich was so amazing that it has remained very strongly in my memory (from, like, the 90s). Sandwiches can be amazing. I think that might be a great name for a band, "Amazing Sandwich"

A comment on how to be a courteous person: At the gym, don't dump foot powder in a ten square foot area and then just leave it there. Your mom isn't coming to clean up after you (probably).

One of the worst nights of my life, Poly, was when we had an unexpected warm spot in November 1979. All these flies hatched in the space between the ceiling tiles in our apartment and the upstairs apartment's floor. They hatched one day, but then the cold the next day immediately killed them, and it was all thump thump thump all night. Had to take out the ceiling tiles the next day. Gross.
