Jack Smith was a superhero to me for many years ... I drew a 24 page comic about him ... maybe I'll see if I can find a page or two to post here ... Hi, Erella!
Avatar 7:40pm

I used to have a radio show at a college music station here in Toronto and had Jack Smith cohost a radio show with me in the early/mid 1980's.
Avatar 7:41pm

Wow Gary! I want to see that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm

I remember Jack smith rhapsodizing about how great Scheherazade was. We played it and he went into a kind of trance. He claimed to love every version of Caravan too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm
Gary:

That's so great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm
Gary:

Avatar 8:00pm
ndbob:

excellent first hour Gary - catch the rest later
Avatar 8:02pm
Erella:

Ha. I remember he told a great story Jack told, about seeing Andy Warhol at a party recently (andy was still alive at the time). They had some tension because Jack claimed Andy stole some of his work. According to Jack he grabbed the wig Andy was wearing off and put it on his own head. I hadn't heard that Andy wore wigs before. I remember saying "So Andy had several wigs, they all looked exactly the same as his real hair?" Silliness. Thank you for indulging this memory. Oh yes, I looked a bit like Liz taylor in those days and Jack Smith called me "Liz Taylor Erella"
