Down my way (South Jersey) they're grey, but not 40 miles north in Princeton, they're black.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm

Greys - didn't them come over from America?
Saw a whole bunch of Reds last week. Lovely little fellas.

Yeah but they find their way back, I bet.
  12:19pm
Mark R:

We had all red squirrels in Michigan. My understanding was they were imported from back East in the 1800s, they were very aggressive and within a few years, there were not grey squirrels left. But here in Jersey I see no reds, only greys.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm
Stanley:

Mark - the greys got the better of the reds, here in Britain. Almost wiped them out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm
Brian in UK:

@Mark R It is the opposite over here. Reds up north and in Scotland. Greys rule the rest.

Are there places in Europe where they don't have squirrels? I remember seeing one in the zoo in Dublin in the 80s -- on display, I mean, not running around the lawn. Meanwhile, in our local (NYC) park, there are always tourists standing round the central lawn taking pictures of the squirrels as though they were zebras.

Not one complaint, only orders for more:-D

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm

Harvey was a co-founder of Stone the Crows in late 1969. It was while on stage with Stone the Crows at Swansea Top Rank in 1972, on a rainy day with puddles on the stage, that he was electrocuted after touching a microphone that was not earth-grounded.[2] A roadie attempted to unplug the guitar, but was unsuccessful.[3]
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm

I remember that, after the Harvey tragedy, the next (and last) Stone the Crows album was called "Ontinuous Performances", with the C symbolically dropped. Also, singer Maggie Bell has her fifteen minutes as a solo artist in the early-mid 70s.
