abowie/peace, I should clarify...
Avatar 3:46pm
Kurt Gottschalk:

you know where the name 'die like a dog' came from? if i remember the story right, brotzmann wrote an article about albert ayler and when it came out the line break left the phrase "die like a dog" at the top of the next page so he kept it (with regards to it being awful that ayler had to die like a dog).
  3:49pm
Dean:

A tribute not only to Ayler and Brotzmann, but to line breaks.

Psychic surgery is still surgery
  4:51pm

Except in the case of people like me, for whom psychic surgery is purely non-invasive.

One of my favorite Piazzola tributes is Barenboim's with Rodolfo Mederos and Hector Console. This Klucevsek sounds pretty swell, too.

Consume Red sounds like something Kubrick would call a scene and it sounds like something he would use to score a scene.
Avatar 6:27pm
Kurt Gottschalk:

ha! this would be a long scene.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30pm

It also sounds like a very weird take on blowing the shofar (all right, let's get the crude puns out of the way), which is suitable to this evening.
Avatar 6:36pm

it's actually a hojok, a japanese double reed instrument
