Trump has done a bit for Janet Jackson's bank account this week, I suspect.

Wait, wait, did Snoop just rap about a girl slipping into his back door? Kinky.

Quite interesting how similar Kassie's delivery in that one sounds to The Waitresses' Patty Donahue. I am more at a lost about finding an analogous delivery for Franek's.

Loving the Franek Kimono jams, more please :)
  10:02am
yeah:

Franek Kimono was supposed to be a mockery of disco subculture. As it happens it didn't worked as planned and he was treated seriously and enthusiastically received by the disco-goers.

Nice cover right here.

I remember very well seeing Thin Lizzy do this live.

Brian Downey might be the most slept-on drummer in rock. Always kills it, but especially obvious on "Johnny the Fox".

RIP WFMU. Crap content during key schedules, no more Jewish $$, if this is the best you can do you're killing the station

I tuned back, this is better. Seriously tho, fun can't afford djs playing broken car sounds at noon. I take it back, this show is better than my first impression, sorry dj
Avatar 10:57am
Cheri Pi:

WFMU broadcasts globally through the internet, what may be a key time for some is dinner time for someone across the ocean.
  10:58am
JakeGould:

Yo Pola Manola, why you be so slowa?
  11:00am
anon:

there's no good time slot for broken car noises.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am
pantz:

Maybe your car is broken @anon. Did you think of that? Those could be the noises you hear.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03am
JP from KC:

Plus, WFMU is a FREEFORM station. If they started changing their programming for the purpose of appeasing or attracting listeners, they'd be taking steps toward becoming like any other radio station out there. Being a listener is like digging through the dollar bin at your local record store- you sift through what you don't like to find what you do. the appeal is hearing things you won't hear anywhere else. if you find that you're not enjoying the current programming, there are literally YEARS of archives and any number of other shows and DJ's that may play stuff closer to your personal taste. That in itself is reason enough to pledge.
  11:03am
anon:

Formal apology to DJ. it's just a thing of mine, many daytime slots get bizarre in a bad way and I love FMU don't want to see it go

@barney haha yeah we show bunt like 900 times and the only guy to lay one is a-gon. frustrating. not too worried though. we all remember what happened last time the cubs was up 3-2 in the nlcs

this heavy set has been absolutely killer. thank you for introducing me to oozing wound
Avatar 🥊 Swag For Life Member 11:20am

I just couldn't figure out who Joc was fooling showing bunt in the 8 slot. If you can get Bartman back for the next two it'll all be cool.

That, and if you can get your runners to stop taking third base catnaps.

Avatar 11:27am
Marty McSorley:

yeah i would be too. kershaw and hill back to back. both shut um out in their last starts
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33am
JP from KC:

True, but despite that, those were both pretty low-scoring games. If I were a Dodger's fan, I'd be concerned about your offense.
Avatar 11:35am
Marty McSorley:

i actually blame magic johnson for the loss last night. he took his mojo to wnba championship game last night and the Sparks won. he left the dodgers hanging.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:47am

I'm inclined to agree with you, there, Barney. As a citizen of Kansas City, a local ordinance requires me to hold a grudge against Joe Buck for his baseless mistreatment of the Royals.
