If this is "Web only", what's going out on the air? Did someone just not yet fix the entry on the main page day's schedule (which apparently is supplied by javascript)?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24am
Sem Chumbo:

Been a thoroughly enjoyable morning. Thank you, Micah, see you, and all, next time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24am

Billy (Montreal):

How can anything go wrong with this bed music!
  8:34am
Listener Robert:

I learned a bit of broadcasting jargon for the type of temporary programming that this is an example of: a "stunt". Not to be confused with The Stunt Show on JM in the AM, or with a football defensive stunt. Nor what WFMU will do to your growth.
  8:35am
Listener Robert:

en.wikipedia.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35am
micah:

not a stunt show robert. just a temporary situation until the new show begins
  8:36am
Listener Robert:

But according to the Wikipedia entry (which you're welcome to edit), that IS a type of stunting.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38am
micah:

fine. Im stunting. may the good lord smile on us all.
  8:41am
Listener Robert:

I've listened to many a stunt program on radio, and they were frequently quite pleasing but tantalizing because they weren't permanent. So you've got some very good company there, micah, and at least I'm smiling on you for it.
  8:42am
Listener Robert:

And now I've got to complete cleaning up a 2-lbs. rice spill I made, nothing to do w the show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42am
micah:

i want to reinstate what Ive said before in weeks past. this show will not be going off the air. in january I will be moving to the give the drummer stream, same time, fridays
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43am
Polyus:

Next week Micah is going to jump over 5 RVs on a moped.
  8:44am
Listener Robert:

Great, because that's what I usu. listen to on Fri. Even better now that they fixed the glitch in the Flash stream when changeovers of studio of origin occurred.
  8:44am
egould310:

Great show, Micah. Thanks for the weird tunes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45am
micah:

thats right polyus. while leeches are clinging to my flesh and drinking my blood
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:46am
KevinfromBayRidge:

Nice show, Micah. Welcome to Earthly FM radio, however briefly,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47am
micah:

thx kevin
  8:49am
Listener Robert:

I can remember listening to the Jewish block in the morning on WFMU before Nachum started. For a while there, it ended with a 1-hour "Radio Kol Torah", which I think was externally produced. I wasn't a fanatic, but it was drive time, and that's how it is with car radio presets.
  8:50am
Listener Robert:

And by "before Nachum started", I'm referring to years, not clock hours.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52am
maestroso:

Ostrich Von Nipple. Best band name ever.
Interesting music too.
  8:53am
Listener Robert:

Formally it was just called The Hebrew and Jewish Program. The m.c. was modest, it seems.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57am
maestroso:

Digging the show Micah. Also good to hear on the radio driving to the office today.
  8:57am
Listener Robert:

But that's the way it pretty much was before Nachum put his stamp on it. But even with Nachum, I don't think his name was used in the title of anything he produced until he started his own stream. We may have known it as the Nachum Segal show, but it was announced only as "JM in the AM", where the "M" in "JM" started out as short for Music, then broadened to "Moments".
  8:59am
Listener Robert:

Funny how titles get picked up. Like for years Ken would say, "The Duane Train is coming in," before he adopted that as the name of the show.
  9:02am
melinda:

Interesting bit about the Duane Train, didn't know that. Thanks Micah, will catch rest of show on archive.
  1:44pm
Carabou:

Is "Give the Drummer Some" leaving or is there just a schedule shakeup coming? Your show & "Drummer" are two of my very favorites.
