Ridgewood Radio features concert recordings by adventurous bands and experimental musicians and restored archival tapes from private and institutional collections captured at venues large and small across the five boroughs of New York. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

Welcome all, a quiet start. But it heats up.

Big dynamic range in this edition, but you need the variety to make the big noise sing.

Jeremy and I play together w/ other guests as ROTC. We played at 23 windows w/ Dok back in July.

I need notifications to my earholes about when this show is on- glad I found you by accident again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:36pm

Everybody set your alarm to Wednesdays at 2! Or maybe FMU has some kind of pop up reminder?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm
Rich in Washington:

a show notification app would be cool, especially as the schedule's changed, GTDR's been adding cool new shows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
weinstein:

I am told that the whole interface with the FMU and Drummer stream is being upgraded. Maybe that is part of it.

listener james from westwood:

@Dave in VT: You can also email Doug Schulkind, GTDR stream meister, at drummer@wfmu.org and ask him to subscribe you to the mailing list, which sends an alert email with each day's programming. You'll get email every day, so if you don't want daily reminders and prefer a Google Calendar alert for just the one day, that might be your speed. Still, the option's there!

Doug Schulkind:

Beginning in early January, the Drummer Stream will be adding two shows that will be sliding over from WFMU proper. They are being displaced from the 6-9am slots on FMU because of the new Monday-Friday programming the station will be adding in that slot. Mary Wing's 100% Whatever will be on GTDR on Tuesdays and Micah's show will be airing Fridays, both 6-9am on the Drummer Stream.

Good afternoon!

Not me. But I am studying for finals. Three of them. Finals.

Maybe I will play this on my show this Friday: 3.bp.blogspot.com...

Glad to hear they're both finding homes here!

Can't you just telepathically tug my earlobe when the shows come on I want - If I got that email which I am sure is lovely I would stop opening it after a day or two.
I have 3 exams and a paper due next week too, Doug. Finished a final project 2 days ago.

For years, I've wanted the WFMU schedule (s) to be available as internet calendar schedules. I am doing some sneaky unofficial work to see what technologies I can leverage. Maybe next year!
