I play music that is old and that is new. Some of it is digital while some is analog. It is from many different countries; sometimes it is loud and at other times it is quiet.

Happy Saturday, Mayuko and all!

fred:

Good afternoon Mayuko and listeners. This show is the only good reason to cut my favorite Getatchew/The Ex track so abruptly
  12:01pm
P-90:

Hi Mayuko! Excited to be listening "live" this week!
Avatar 12:07pm
Mayuko:

Good afternoon, james, fred, thanks for tuning in! P-90! how you been?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm
fred:

Somehow I think this music goes well with the background color and the painting
Avatar 12:13pm
Mayuko:

The sound of gong is connected to the universe! (I think)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm
fred:

Oreos were on sale at the supermarket downstairs today, so I'm well prepared for this show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm
fred:

This Orkes Sunda... track sounds familiar. It reminds me of something else I can't quite nail down. A Sakamoto track maybe?
Avatar 12:23pm
UFO907:

YO!!
Avatar 12:24pm
Mayuko:

That Orkes Sunda thing sounds a lot like Okinawa music to me (and therefore I connected to it...)

I've already kicked-off my ice cream season even though it's still Feb! I think you'll eventually need to add some donuts and rice crackers there in the preparation besides oreo! A radio show that harms listeners health!
Avatar 12:25pm
Mayuko:

OH! HALLO UFO907!!!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm
fred:

I was thinking the same thing, maybe a little sped up with Nenes singing

go mayuko!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm

There's a season for ice cream?
Avatar 12:35pm

is today old friends reunion day or something?! hello hello alias pail, thanks for tuning in!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm
fred:

Maybe it's the warm up for the marathon
Avatar 12:44pm
Mayuko:

(hope so)

Hi. Good driving music.

The season Mr. Softy (the ice cream wagon) is running around is the season of ice cream. He's not doing it yet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm
Doug Schulkind:

Hi, Mayuko! Hi, Jimmie Rodgers! Hi, everyone!
Avatar 12:45pm
Mayuko:

Mr. Softy is the one who determines if the ice cream season is kicked off.

oh, hello Jeff G & DOUG!!!

Mr Softy is the interrogator who sympathetically gives you an ice cream. Mr Hardy impatiently dashes your ice cream to the ground.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm

Looks like working with Germans confused you right there

Hi, Mayuko and vertigo enthusiasts. I didn't think sourdough ice cream was a real thing until I did a Google search and it returned many results.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm
Ike:

Fabulous sounds!

Wait, sourdough ice cream? This time, the ice cream mad scientists have gone too far! Guanabana, great. Lavender, sure, OK. Durian, amazing (and stinky). But sourdough? That's just nuts. And not Brazil nuts.
Avatar 1:27pm
Mayuko:

Thanks for tuning in, Scraps, coelacanth∅, geezerette and Ken!

I heard a rumor that Mr Softy also secretly sells drug. Mr Softy can be a shady man too. that's what I am learning from NYC life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm
☢️Ike☢️:

...now I really want to try it.
Avatar 1:33pm
geezerette:

@Ike: Kibbles & cream. Yum. :)
Avatar 1:37pm
Mayuko:

Where do you get all those crazy selections of ice cream, Ike?? I'm pretty conservative when it comes to ice cream and rarely open up to the new values in the ice cream world.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm
fred:

I don't know what sourdough is, but it has "sour" in it so I think I might like this
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm

Enjoying the music, very cool, out there stuff.
Take you to the car, finished in the office, bye!
Avatar 1:38pm

Ah, thanks for listening, doctorjazz! Have a beautiful rest of the weekend!

@Fred, it's a delicious kind of bread made using fermented starter. It may have been popularized in San Francisco. Now you can find it across the U.S. but the quality varies. But I cannot understand how it could be ice cream. @Mayuko, there are a bunch of places w/interesting flavors... hmmm let's see....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm
fred:

I just realized that Sonic Protest overlaps with the marathon this year. This totally messes up my pledging schedule. Especially for this show. No way I'm missing the Nihilist Spasm Band, and even a mere documentary about them seems too good to miss. I'm torn
Avatar 1:54pm
Mayuko:

well, there's always the archives, and pledges can be made any time, fred! Although I do suppose marathon shows are more fun to hear live. it's like a festival.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57pm
ἶkε:

There's Milk Sugar Love in Jersey City; Kwality on Newark Ave. for Indian flavors, like great carrot halwa ice cream; in NYC, my fave might be Sundaes & Cones on E. 10th St.; also check out Laboratorio del Gelato and old standby Chinatown Ice Cream Factory. Some of these are expensive, so I rarely go. Just special occasional treats, like to impress a hot date in the summer or something, ha ha.
