We are all making this great again and again and again. We oddballs have every right and obligation to fly the redwhiteblue union flag. Sing it Jerry!

Dean:

Just picked up Laura Nyro's Mother's Spiritual LP for four bucks, Mel Torme and George Shearing for two, and a Jorma K. CD for seven. Also on vinyl a Faure Requiem and a compilation of Delius work for pennies.

Eric Hat:

Reminds me of Albatross.

ISNT THIS SO GOOD????
  1:37am
Dean:

Hell, no! That Shearing record is really slick. I love Torff's work with Union. Nice to hear his earlier work.

The Delius is at 2LP Unicorn-Kanchana LP from 1981 featuring Felicity Lott and Anthony Rolfe-Johnson, the Royal Philharmonic conducted by Eric Fenby: https://www.discogs.com/Delius-Felicity-Lott-Anthony-Rolfe-Johnson-Thomas-Allen-Julian-Lloyd-Webber-Ambrosian-Singers-The-Ro/release/3971529

Jeff Conklin:

@Eric: Not out yet ;)
  1:41am

Big Delius fan here, too, Scraps.

Hell, yes, Mel Torme. He and Shearing did a live thing in SF and they were all on fire.
  1:42am
Dean:

[Not sure why I keep saying, "Hell."]
Avatar 1:43am
Jeff Conklin:

Have I been mislead about Mel Torme all these years??
Avatar 1:43am
Scraps:

Some of that Delius I don't have, in any form. Neat. Unicorn Kanchana is very reliable, in my experience
Avatar 1:45am

Boy, I like Torme's voice. And with Shearing they are pretty neat.

Torme wrote "Born to Be Blue." I mean, c'mon.
