Evening David. Oh yes pigeons.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm
David D:

Evening, Brian! More pigeons on their way...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm
Parq:

How do, Brian and David. Still daytime hereabouts. 80 some-odd degrees today (or if you like, 27). We went from winter last week to summer this week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm
David D:

Good day, Parq! We went the other way over here - but spring is bound to warm up again soon...
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 4:17pm
Brian in UK:

Parq if you were to describe Spring over here it would need language from a while back. A gay springtime, bluebells are out. Magnolias and daffodils are nearly gone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm
Parq:

Brian, interesting. In the US, magnolias are strongly associated with the south, and a woman from that region will often be called a magnolia. By the way, what the heck are "skittles"? Besides the candy, I mean.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 4:24pm
Brian in UK:

Skittles over here is a bit like ten pin but much smaller. You could get table skittles if memory serves.

Sugar Magnolia by the Grateful Dead is delicious.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 4:26pm
Brian in UK:

I think there are some pubs in Somerset that still have skittles alleys at the back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26pm
Parq:

Ah! All these years, I just assumed it was something to eat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm
David D:

Skittles with a side of skiffle, please!
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 4:29pm
Brian in UK:

Now where is my washboard?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:33pm
David D:

Could be Romania, going by the last track.

Miss Molly! She still has a star in front of where the Second Avenue Deli used to be. The Deli space itself has been a bank branch for years and years, unfortunately.
  5:07pm
Doctorjazz:

2nd Avenue Deli did reopen, not on 2nd Avenue, but not too far from the old site. Been to the new site one, Great food, pretty expensive...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm
David D:

Do they deliver to Leipzig by any chance?
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 5:15pm
Brian in UK:

Imagine there is no likelihood of Springtime for Hitler. So adios amigos.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:17pm
David D:

Good night, Brian - now that's an interesting idea, actually...
  5:28pm
Doctorjazz:

Has anyone covered Springtime...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm
David D:

Good question - I think there may be a German version somewhere, believe it or not.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 5:35pm
kuba:

good evening all & dave! for once, insomnia pays off
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37pm
David D:

Hey Kuba!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:38pm
Parq:

Doc, not sure (guessing the version in the Broadway show or the one in the ensuing musical movie wouldn't count), but I know someone's covered "Love Power".

Doctorjazz:

did a quick Google Search, didn't turn up any covers. It mixes such delicious horribleness and irony, think it would be hard to cover.
anyway, 15 hungry family members about to arrive for Seder (how's that for a segue), thanks for the great music, Happy holidays to those who celebrate any of the current ones (and at least some nice time off to those who don't).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm

Thanks for looking and listening, Doctorjazz - have a great Seder evening and a happy holiday!

Thanks, Dean!

Welcome, geezerette!
Avatar 6:04pm
geezerette:

Love this song anyway!
Hi David! Doc! Dean! Springtime!
  6:04pm
Dean:

My pleasure, @doctorjazz. The Smith is more closely aligned with the original. It's BDDDB, after all. The Sickidz is rustier, but its heart is in the right place.

A year or so back, Ahmad Jamal got caught up in airport security. Occurred due to his name. Can't remember where. Talk about a shame...
