Ridgewood Radio features concert recordings by adventurous bands and experimental musicians and restored archival tapes from private and institutional collections captured at venues large and small across the five boroughs of New York. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

Thanks, Ginger. You rescued me just in time! I have some kind of block for that poor soul's name.

Hello David, Ruth, and listeners
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm
weinstein:

Hello Fred glad to see you. Or see this evidence of you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm
fred:

I went to see Les filles de Illighadad and Guilhem Lacroux last week. That show was worth missing this one. I missed the first hour today because of work. Not worth it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm
fred:

I once saw an excellent Pierre Berthet performance for vacuum cleaners. Sadly, the attendance was one of the lowest ever at that venue
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm
weinstein:

Vitkova was fearless onstage tackling this machine, and not for the biggest audience! Ah, the art of noise!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm
weinstein:

Berthet won my heart years ago when I met him through Arnold Dreyblatt (who was in NYC) this week for the Tony Conrad stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32pm
fred:

Only on FMU moment: comparing notes on vacuum cleaner playing. Almost makes me wish there were a WFMU awards show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:35pm
weinstein:

Messed up my parentheses but you get my point. Met him years ago, Arnold was here this week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:36pm
weinstein:

Ha! The only thing that will cause more controversy than calling a vacuum cleaner "music" is starting an awards program!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:49pm
fred:

I still haven't seen Cooper-Moore, and it doesn't look likely to change anytime soon. I'll try to suggest him to the fine people who run Sonic Protest
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm
weinstein:

C-Moore is getting some long deserved recognition these days! Hooray!

Wow, a person applauding!
