My first Louvin brothers record album was just stumbled on about fifteen years ago. My Baby's Gone. Great record. I paid a buck for it. I stepped on it and it shattered about 5 yrs later...still sad about it

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm Dexy:

Anyone seen my Midnight Runners?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm Gaylord Fields:

@miles: Don't feel so bad. I once ran over my copy of the Louvins' "You're Running Wild" with a chair on casters — one of only two such record destructions, which is surprising if you knew how poorly I store my records.
Avatar 12:31pm βrian:

Wouldn't you always be throwing shade if you were penumbrate? Wait, penumbral?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm Gaylord Fields:

Avatar 12:35pm Peter Nelson:

Good point. I certainly have.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Gaylord Fields:

@miles: It's that damn near invisible purple Capitol label that both the Louvin Brothers and Gene Vincent share that's to blame! Totally not your fault!
  12:36pm Miles:

@Gaylord nope no My Baby's Gone LP replacement yet. I think I have all the songs on decent vinyl incarnations though
  12:37pm miles:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm Doug Schulkind:

Matt Fiveash posted this on Facebook a short while ago:

My pal and longtime radio preceder, and all-around mensch Charlie Lewis is hanging up his radio show, at least for a while. His final show will take place next Thursday at the irregular hour of 4 PM, but I'll be away, so today is our last clunky 2 PM transition between our respective shows. Thusly, in honor of Charlie and his often thematic programming, my show today will consist entirely of songs by, and about, people named Charlie (or Charley, Charles, Chuck, etc).

Playlist and archive for today's show can be found here: wfmu.org...

Tune in for Matt Fiveash's Charlie tribute special, up NEXT!
