I accidentally stepped on my pup's tail a couple years ago. Took forever to heal, but there was no permanent damage. The vet said some dogs get what they call "happy tail syndrome," where they repeatedly injure themselves by wagging too much and with too much force and whacking their tails into hard edged furniture or whatever.

I saw a report recently that many people don't use all their earned vacation days. So what does the government do? Pass a law to let employers dole out time off instead of overtime pay. This leads to a vicious circle of having to put in more OT to make up for the work that piled up while you were off. Or just accumulating more unused vacation days.
