Sharing the general sentiment here. Imaginary Radio is one of the highlights of the listening week. The 1977 show was brilliant, as so many others have been. Sigh.

I forgot about 26! Interviews with Doc Corbin Dart are pretty interesting. He's wackadoodle, but not as wackadoodle than one would think from the legends about him. I mean, at least he's more lucid than our POTUS.

Tuning in late...just figuring out Chris M. not on the summer schedule? I do NOT vote for that. I guess our loss is Guam's gain?

As a New Jersey transit commuter who will see my daily train just plain cancelled because of summer repairs (which will probably add an hour or so to my daily commute), the news that Imaginary Radio is gone for the summer is much much worse. Summer of hell indeed.

It took some time for me to get used to Thursdays, as Imaginary Radio was my dear Monday morning companion, but I did - and it raised Thursdays to radio perfection. It's my favorite show on WFMU and one of only a couple that I purposely tune in to listen to. Is today the last show before summer schedule starts?

Wow, sad to hear that Imaginary Radio won't be on the summer sked. WFMU's the greatest and all but every now and then it breaks your heart. Chris's description of 90's Japanese death grind fans twitching on their backs like cockroaches might be the finest DJ banter these ears have heard. Love you Chris M!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm

Before I looked at the accuplaylist, I never would've guessed that was Beefheart, either. I had always heeded the warning to steer clear of those much maligned 70s Beefheart albums, but now my curiousity is thoroughly piqued.

This Bola track is just beautiful...so dreamy and lovely on the first really great sunny day of Summer.

Humble suggestion: All those who think spiking Imaginary Radio was a dumb call by the schedule makers should email station management and let their opinions be heard. Do it today or it will fall off your to-do list.

The segue from Bola to Afro-Funk's upbeat yet still-hypnotic groove is absolute perfection.
