Hey still b/p! The mountain was actually covered in a dense and mysterious mist so couldn't see the whole thing. I was scouting wedding locations across the lake from the mountain. So beautiful up there!

What sort of recorder would you recommend for someone who wants to start making field recordings?

@melinda, I'm sure there are people on here who know more than me about it but I'd say at first it's probably a matter of budget vs need. I have a zoom h4n that does ok for the price but has some noticeable shortcomings that's making me want to upgrade. I'd say just as important is the microphone, which I'm still figuring out...

In my experience there's so much info out there it's easy to get lost in all the different features and functions. I kind of lose the ability to choose with too many choices available.

@melinda: I found the one I used 10 years ago at a guitar center for around $70. The last I saw there are better ones for much cheaper, now. You can probably get a better one then one I just used for $40, and the options just expand from there. I have no idea where my better one is.....

I got to get going. I have no furniture, no bed, and I need to pick up a car tomorrow. This was the third time I was played on WFMU. The first time was in 2003 live on OCDJ's show, then in 2010, Kurt played a cdr of one of my turntabilist perfromances I did in 2001 at Tonic. Thanks again. I need to get my diurnal cycle back in order, salud, cherio, y sláinte woofmoo'ers!

I use both melatonin and valerian. And blue-light blocking glasses. Need all the help I can get.
