I wasn't trying to suggest hypocrisy on her part, more that the pull of social media can be hard to resist. Whether you see it as an embrace or appropriation, it's clear that she's using the platform in an atypical way compared to the average Instagrammer. But it also sounds like you kinda have to be on Instagram now if you're an artist. I like her sense of humor/horror, too. Especially the hospital selfie w/caption: On the mend!

I wasn't trying to suggest hypocrisy on her part, more that the pull of social media can be hard to resist. Whether you see it as an embrace or appropriation, it's clear that she's using the platform in an atypical way compared to the average Instagrammer. But it also sounds like you kinda have to be on Instagram now if you're an artist. I like her sense of humor/horror, too. Especially the hospital selfie w/caption: On the mend!
