I, too, have to wade through the human jello of various tourist-infested areas of NYC for my various crappy temp gigs, and selfie sticks slow things down even more. The absolute worst (or so I thought) was when I had a gig right off of Times Square, until I got a summer gig in Lower Manhattan right near the S.I. Ferry/Battery Park City. Hoooooly crap. I used to work down there in the mid-90's when there was almost nothing down there and you could do cartwheels on the bull statue after 5 PM when the brokers went home. Now it's nothing but tour busses clogging up the streets, vomiting out loads of slow, inconsiderate tourists who take 10 minutes EACH to order a coffee at the lunch place near my office. Meh.

I, too, have to wade through the human jello of various tourist-infested areas of NYC for my various crappy temp gigs, and selfie sticks slow things down even more. The absolute worst (or so I thought) was when I had a gig right off of Times Square, until I got a summer gig in Lower Manhattan right near the S.I. Ferry/Battery Park City. Hoooooly crap. I used to work down there in the mid-90's when there was almost nothing down there and you could do cartwheels on the bull statue after 5 PM when the brokers went home. Now it's nothing but tour busses clogging up the streets, vomiting out loads of slow, inconsiderate tourists who take 10 minutes EACH to order a coffee at the lunch place near my office. Meh.
