Here we go...not even 10 minutes into the show and there's the 80s shit.

Let's give it a break this week, fellas.

Phish was, at this moment, a one-time thing. But, as you know, I play whatever i want so.....
  12:14am

but why can't I turn it off?

most of the dead i've ever gotten into are from 68-73. to be honest im not a super fan, but have friends who are and when i've heard something that made me say "burn me one of this show/upload the flac" its usually been from that time period.

True story: I had an older cousin very much into the Velvets and used to take me to shows when i was very young. I was 12 in 69 and she took me to the Stones, Allman Brothers and Led Zeppelin shows. Amazing. Can still remember all of it. But the one that I didn't get to go to was the Velvets at the Tea Party. My mother wouldn't let me go because it was a club. I'm not even sure how she would've gotten me in, but she talked up the Velvets a lot before the show and played me the first 3 lps. I really wanted to go, but I got shut down. I'm still mad about it and tell my now 96 year old mother every time I see her.
