i grabbed this from a dvd. there was a kino DVD, but if you can "track it down," the russian RusCiCo version looks way better (and they did a pretty good job with 5.1 izing the sound).

the film is pretty intense. if i recall, stockhausen broke into tears when he saw it, owing to the circumstances of his mother's institutionalization and death — which the quays were supposedly unaware of?
