I was supposed to go out tonight, but plans change. So I have pizza to entertain me and this show. First time listener. Do you dig on Stax 45? Hope so!

Sure, love Stax! But don't have any with me tonight, I'm afraid. Hi, everybody!

Hi Mr Fine Wine, hi everyone.
I second Danny’s comment!

Don't ya just love it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:09pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

Hahaha, that's the other Chick-a-Boom, DP!
Avatar 🍷 Swag For Life Member 8:12pm
Little Danny:

re McPhatter: Love these artists with deep back-catalogs. Always some weird gems to be sorted out. Any other McPhatter solo sides you'd recommend MrFW?
Avatar 🍷 Swag For Life Member 8:12pm
DP:

OK - Don't ya just lover it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

Re Clyde McP: He's got a late one I love, one of his last singles. Thank You Love.

Mr C:

Did this come out as a 45??
  8:34pm
Mr C:

question answered!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

That you, Ben?
Avatar 8:37pm
Anthony:

You finally done NGH?
Avatar 8:39pm
Anthony:

Hey MFW, I wasn't telling you to play stax tonight (although I would not complain if you did) just inquiring. Stax gets short shifted in the history of American Soul IMO.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

Anthony, I think I don't agree! I feel like Stax gets its due!
  8:41pm
Mr C:

Agree w/ FW on that one.
Avatar 8:41pm
Anthony:

Well we all can agree that we love the music.
  8:42pm
Paul from the OC:

Great selections as usual! So BTW, how does one reverse engineer a 45?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

Reverse-engineering: go to timmion.com. They'll make you a two-sided acetate if you send them wav files. The rate is 30 euros.
  8:47pm
Mr C:

Sounds like McKinley Jackson's band
  8:47pm
Paul from the OC:

Got it! That is steep for a 45--except by comparison to what you might pay for many of the 45s featured on this show!! Got to figure out how to press one-shot 45s in vinyl plastic.....
Avatar 🍷 Swag For Life Member 8:48pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Good evening, 45 fans!
Avatar 8:49pm
Anthony:

hey ken
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

There are services that will do one-off vinyl 45s here in the States, but they're considerably more expensive (the ones I know of). 30 euros is pretty darn cheap for a high-quality custom 45, I'd say.
Avatar 🍷 Swag For Life Member 8:57pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Anthony. This show is pretty great, huh?
Avatar 9:00pm
Anthony:

i like it so far ken!
