The other day I was wearing my T shirt that has a wee arrow pointing up and says, “NOT A COLD SORE (roller skating injury). I’d joked about such a shtry after a friend’s skating birthday gathering resulted in a pretty significant face/ mouth plant. A different friend obliged and had the shirt made. Don’t really wear it with text showing, though.

This guy, Moctar, is playing soon in Winters, CA, at the Palms Playhouse. Fans nearby really should hear the show for the performer and the venue, a tiny "opera house" on a main street (Main Street, I think) in a tiny Northern California town.

Going on a year ago. Yeah, a treasure. There's a YT video of his last performance, from a wheelchair, a day or so before he died. It's sad beyond sad, but uplifting at the same time. He brings his son on stage.
