When I was like 23 I was walking past the Time-Life building on 50th Street and they always had people outside doing market research for Time-Life. I usually avoided them and just went to the Middle Eastern food vendors on the corner to get some lunch.

But one day I decided why not?

So I stopped and talked to the guy and he said, “So you are aged 40 to 50, correct?” I’m stunned standing there and said, “No… I’m 23…” and he just started blubbering “Oh my God! I’m sorry… I’m sorry… We can’t really use you for this… I’m sorry…”

So I went to eat my lunch thinking I somehow looked like a cancer patient or something.

Hola dj monica from the greater Port Jervis area! Yes, the Ice cream discount first happened to me at Dunkin Donuts right here in PJ. And I reacted as you did. But guess what. You get over it. and one day when the discount is not figured automatically ...you have to ask for it and you get just as livid! Go figure.
