Hi, Mary! Hi, WFMUers!

fred: crows are so smart, would have liked to see them on a slide. I feed some here, by putting things in the trees so the seagulls can't get to them. I ring a temple bell while putting out the treats, the crows respond to that.

Loved the Esma track - she was a great Roma singer from Macedonia. With the late Stevo Teodosievski, her longtime partner and his band. When Esma came to WFMU out in East Orange, many years ago, Stevo played Yo La Tengo's farfisa which happened to be in the studio at the time! Also, Stanley, I am sure you'll appreciate this story. Rob and his wife came back from a weekend in Amsterdam and got a taxi back home, featuring, of course, one of the Famously Chatty Taxi Drivers of Edinburgh, in this case a white-haired Scotsman in his late sixties. When he asked where they were coming from and was told Amsterdam, he made the expected comments. They told him they hadn't even had time for such fun, being there for a conference. His response:

"Nae coffee shops? Nae space cakes?"

Those social crows.. Little while back i was feeding some chews; they seem to be related.. One arrived late and his companions had finished all the nuts. It then came over to me, landed on a high perch and started jabbing angrily. I told him he was late and he repeated the same lesson. I showed him the empty bag and said: You're too late! He raised his neck feathers and flew off.. I later read shews are very particular about always sharing food among each other...

@Mary@1:48, thanks for asking! I'm pretty solid today, which is a nice change from clinging onto the cliffside of the mental abyss by my fingernails. You?

The abyss calls out to me endlessly, Ike, heh.

We had hundreds queuing up in front of coffee shops all over The Netherlands, just prior to lockdown.

NY hasn't gone for legalization yet, even though Cuomo changed his tune and is in favor. Same for New Jersey, who's governor is strongly in favor, but hasn't gotten the legislature to go along.

Hello Whatevers. Yes Stanley, Monty Hall seems like a distant memory. Now being guarded by some funky skeletons!

I don't partake any more but it got me thinking how our toking friends are coping with the lockdown. I suppose the dealers would have to deliver. Perhaps on a bike - the peddling dope peddler!
Avatar 🛎 Swag For Life Member 2:20pm

Bike delivery is a very common method in NYC -- they even made a TV show about it!

Kevin - looks like they have already done it.

It was the first album by Echo & The Bunnymen, Crocodiles, that grabbed me. The cover suggested tripping with your friends in nature, and everyone is in their own personal hell. Ah, the good old days!
