Never heard that one before. kpx: There were several words I mispronounced as a kid/teen because I'd only ever seen them in writing and sometimes I jumbled some letters. "Awry" I thought was "AW-ree," "treatise" I thought was "TREAT-see," and many other failures.

If a gizmo has been re-engineered to prioritize artificial unintelligence interfaces to the detriment of quick, easy, straightforward conventional controls... I'll shop for somebody else's gizmo.

My mum told me that when she and my dad went to see it in the early 70s, everyone filed out in complete silence. Amazing electronic score by Harrison Birtwhistle, too. Sorry, had to get that off my chest.
