great show
  2:02pm Tom:

Maria Montez was the queen of the Universal backlot in the early 1940s, and she was headlined in six movies filmed in technicolor!
2:04pm ayatolla yooa aya mustufa bin loaded:

I like that pic, Lupino Noir. Thanks. Looks like she is expecting that guy's little cobra to rear its head at any moment. I like his shirt.
  2:06pm Listener Jumpy in Brooklyn:

Dick Tracy!
  2:12pm Lupino Noir:

@ayatolla - That immaculately spiffy guy is Jon Hall....looks like he raided Rexes closet !
  2:22pm Lupino Noir:

  2:28pm Listener Jumpy in Brooklyn:

Diggin' all the famous character songs: King Kong, Mighty Joe, Dick Tracy, Popeye.
  2:29pm Lupino Noir:

GO GOGO
  2:31pm Tom:

I always wanted to know, how many of these obscure rock and roll artists were backed by the label house bands and which used their own handpicked musicians?
  2:36pm Lupino Noir:

I saw Nokie naked but never saw Bogle bear
  2:38pm Amira:

I found an old weird Beatles 45 pressed in Greece at the ancient souk in Byblos last week.
2:41pm ayatolla yooa aya mustufa bin loaded:

@Amira-tell me more about that 45. Sounds interesting. I wish we could call markets in the U.S. souks. And wfmu had the annual record souk each year.
  2:43pm Lupino Noir:

Ookie Dookie loves Zoola Zookie
  2:46pm Amira:

That'd be a dream, Ayatolla Yooa. It's on Parlophone and has two songs I've never heard of: I'm a Loser and Roll Music.
2:50pm ayatolla yooa aya mustufa bin loaded:

I am from wufumu
  2:53pm Count Reeshard:

Thanks for the nod, Rex. Programming the 2012 season at the Fool's Paradise Twin has been a blast - hoods, health officials and those gloomy Mayans notwithstanding.
  2:53pm Amira:

My mom's really digging the show. She says it takes her back to Herb Pfuel's Dance Club on WCRO in Johnstown. My dad would say the same, but there is no Lebanese equivalent to American Bandstand-type programs from the 1960s. But he really likes the fact that you just said Lebanon on the radio.
2:55pm ayatolla yooa aya mustufa bin loaded:

@Amira-that is really cool.
  2:57pm A.S.P.C.A.:

I'd like to lodge a complaint..
  2:58pm Count Reeshard:

Bob Seger clearly took voice lessons from Jimmy Merchant.
2:59pm ayatolla yooa aya mustufa bin loaded:
