  9:10am Santos L Halper:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:12am melinda:

  9:13am Luisa:

Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:13am WilliamfromDumont:

Avatar 🥁 9:23am duke:

Morning Bob and Bobbers and Bobettes. Really like this Jack DeJohnette track
  9:24am Santos L Halper:

Huh, don't think I've heard India covered; interesting take.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24am melinda:

@Luisa I agree
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25am doctorjazz:

DeJohnette's India (Coltrane tune) was great, and fun to hear the Harmonicats to follow it.
Avatar 🥁 9:26am duke:

This is exactly what I love about 'FMU. Where else can you follow Jack DeJonette with the Hamonocats
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:36am Santos L. Halper:

India from Impressions IIRC...
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:41am WilliamfromDumont:

Gotta say the mono version of the first Dead LP is much better than stereo mix.
  9:41am miles:

school us on the Moby grape debut. play something
  9:43am Jeff:

Bruce Langhorne passed away yesterday.
R.I.P.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:43am Santos L. Halper:

@miles: he did that thoroughly over a couple months a year or two ago. It's a fair claim...
  9:45am Stuart Rose:

Does the remaster/box of the first Dead album include the original mono mix?
Avatar 9:47am Tidepoolbay:

Good morning Bob! Good morning gang!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:50am WilliamfromDumont:

Not sure Stuart. I heard a friend's beat up original pressing. Still sounded better than stereo mix.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58am Santos L. Halper:

@Stuart: no, just the live disc. Seems like mono is only on viinyl. Haven't heard it myself...
  10:00am Stuart Rose:

Interesting, William.
I think it wasn't until the tail end of the 60s that stereo recordings stopped sounding artificial.
  10:25am Stuart Rose:

Thanks, Santos. With all that Dead stuff that's poured out in the past 20 years, it's hard to think Dead completist types, great in number, haven't seen to getting it out on CD.
10:28am David in ATL from NJ:

I've been SO enjoying the NRBQ boxset, Bob!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am doctorjazz:

Thanks Bob! Not always up Saturday in the AM to listen, enjoyed today's show a whole lot!
  11:04am howard in nyc:

Commando Cody was also an episodic serial, I saw it on Saturday morning tv in the 60s. And yes, Bob, that show was the source of George Frayne's stage name. I don't know where they got the Lost Planet Airmen from
