I used to have some nice Chopin and Debussy piano rolls...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm

Henry, I bet those sounded great. Do you know who performed on those piano rolls? Debussy lived until 1918 so it's possible he might've recorded a few in his day.

IT breaks out the Red Seal and Columbia Masterworks records!!!
  1:16pm
Peter K.:

Sean, it's a (tentative) date! Do you think the Mets should try to re-sign Baez? He'll be expensive.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:21pm
Sean in Bristol UK:

He didn’t turn out to be the ‘Cespedis’ kind of player we were all hoping for. Strikeout rate, insane. Should of been Bryant which is still a possibility. But I agree, a tad too expensive. A chat soon, Mr K, I have lost count of the soft cuddly toys that have been thrown at the tv screen this season!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm
Irene Trudel:

It's been too long since I've played any classical music on the show, TonyR. I have a sentimental reason today-- It's music my mom loved, and passed that love of the music to me. (The anniversary of her 14th year away from this earth is tomorrow.) I do need to make it more of the mix in the future.

hooray live music! I just went to my first indoor concert last week. I felt so many feelings at once
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:35pm
Sean in Bristol UK:

Got my booster coming up soon
  1:36pm
Peter K.:

Sean, Kris Bryant would cost roughly as much as Baez, so why go after one rather than the other? I don't think he's any better. And although we all know Baez strikes out too much, that is really the ONLY thing wrong with his game. (Reggie Jackson struck out a lot, too. I still wouldn't have minded having him on my team.) It's irrelevant, though, because the Mets are not going to give Baez OR Bryant the kind of money they'll be asking.

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm
Irene Trudel:

Wow, Henry! What happened to the rolls? Mx. Baba Bee, same feelings here. We got very emotional hearing the ensemble live, and they were in a joyous mood.

Damn, Irene, playing all these artists I could never get my friends to listen to. Pearls Before Swine is another band that slipped through the cracks. Glad you have such great taste. That's WFMU's premier contribution, in my opinion---the ability to lead its listeners to music that may have passed them by, but is so worthy of hearing. Again, many thanks.
