oh well, the thought was with both koons and warhol when their bodies entered their work in the form of warhol's shooting(which i know is problematic describing as his work but solanas was practically an employee) and for koons, his porn images with ciccolina, their relationship with the market changed. wth warhol, it was interview and the celebrity portraits and koons work imo much more at one with the market

I guess for me it was the experience of spending a day seeing the Cremaster series and associated art in a day (I spent like 10 hours there) and it was despicable but compelling. Later I saw Drawing Restraint 9 in a theater and people actually booed at the screen (Björk fans I guess), while I found it interesting (repelled, but there's something there)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08am

That signed bill came from going to a R. Stevie Moore show while wearing the 7SD T-shirt that should make Ken or Andy pay you 2 dollars. I guess that means Andy owes him money, with interest over 12 years and the Monk movie, let's round that to a million

Re R.Stevie Moore: Back in the 80s - It was such a trip purchasing cassettes from him! I’m quite sure
He would really keep track (inventory logs?) of everything you purchased (?!) … I have abt 6 of his “custom greatest hits collections” (so good). All handmade colorized and dubbed by him! I had an issue with one of the tapes - & even after like 5 years of passing purchases, he wrote back an eccentric letter on paper towels among many other quirky items. Chastising me for being too picky.
Utterly Priceless !

Fear not. The question will be simple arithmetic. It's not going to be "what's your favorite color?"

Perfect antidote to Barney's toxic side.
I'm going to spend a day at the local art school next week. It's always a great experience, though I now have to say I'm not a gallery scout (many students just recoil then)

I'll still get it wrong. Too much pressure. I'll say red when it's really blue

oh, that sounds interesting, do the students recoil because they think you're not a gallery scout or that they think you are?

Soupy Sales song was ' I'm out with the in Crowd ' ? That's what I remember from my TV youth

I'm old so they think I'm one (and they need connection) so when they know I'm useless to them many don't want to waste time talking about their art.
Those who do waste the time make it worth it

Jim Price / R Stevie & DJ Vanilla Bean (RIP) would do the craziest shows!
Totally non-PC, wouldn’t fly today. Perhaps only via the bolder streaming services. Those were heady creativeness radio daze !

PBG - I have really loved the entire show - the last hour/sets were fine. Need to research all those Germanic tunes !!!

If I may ask :
What does PGB moniker stand for ?

Erik/VermonT:

Forgot to ask-(I guess I missed my opportunity)
I only see one archived show of yours from December 2022. Will you be subbing again sooner than later? - so, I’d like to indeed sign-up for email notices. Did you have a long-standing show in the past ?
Thanks again. Fun times.
