A lot more going on back in the 1940s on that lot - 1940s.nyc... -- note the sidewalk clock, at the time not quite the rarity as they are these days -- similar in style to the Bomelstein Jewelers clock in Greenpoint - untappedcities.com... - (at least as far as the base and post, which its only surviving elements) - quite possibly they came from the same manufacturer, the E Howard Clock Company

Doing the Brooklyn Marathon on Saturday but I haven’t nailed down which shows I’m going to. I definitely want to see Natural Information Society at Union Pool. Kind of considering just camping out there the whole time, but there’s so many good acts elsewhere too. What about you, zzz?

manhattan marathon is usually my go to but cant do it this year bc i need to be somewhere else on fri. actually will be in williamsburg on sat evening for something and was thinking to do bk marathon. also had my eyes on union pool. i listened to the Mendoza/Hoff album yesterday, hot fire -- would love to see that band live, and of course Harriet Tubman rules. but the Harvest project/Pharoah Sanders also appealing.

I think you’re right, Tom Tom. I liked Succession a lot but it feels like that was the last gasp of the “prestige tv” era. Only other new television I’ve enjoyed has been Nathan Fielder’s two most recent shows: The Rehearsal and The Curse. Also, the Fielder-produced “How to With John Wilson.” But that is a very different thing than the great scripted dramas we were getting in the 2000s-early 2010s. The White Lotus is fun, I suppose.

We had a labradoodle, Ozzie, we had to put to sleep at 15 years of age. He was the sweetest, smartest doll of a dog I ever had (have had a few over the years). (Close to the end he was more difficult, had multiple medical issues, but that happens...)

Hi Sam. The day after you played that questionably titled song by Frank Zappa, I walked down to Amoeba Records in San Francisco and bought a copy.

It's a great to finally have a collection of all the stuff that was recorded for Hot Rats in 1970, but never made the cut for the album.

Just finished the 2nd half of the show.
Great sets, the Rouse/Holden/Paul-Alexander Akchote sequence was crazy good (the Christian at half speed was particularly insane-will download it).
