Ginger tea w/ honey, Sam (ideally raw or otherwise of higher quality) - not homeopathic at all, but rather based on basic principles (of how these substances work in your throat / nasal cavity)

I especially like the kind w/an in-built humidistat so you can set it to keep the room at a certain humidity level. Otherwise if you just let one run all night while you're sleeping, your room might become like a damp rainforest.

Horse matters at hand:
Came home and turned on the show and the tube, where a Hitchcock Presents episode is about this fella, see, who reports to the priest that he's been praying and winning at the track, so he donates extra to the church in gratitude. The padre won't take the guy's hot tip on Red Devil, though. If you lose your horse, or your horse loses, it's cuz you lost your faith, yeah?

Glimpsed a rough horse costume next to Hitch at the beginning, and at the end the two horse halves moved about in confusion on the studio stage. I knew there was important Wednesday meaning in it.
The Priest was Claude Rains. The period when Hollywood vets were tempted by TV. Some wouldn't do it, some thought they were slumming when they did.
The priest won $2100, by the way, after he told the bishop in shame and regret about withdrawing his savings for the bet, and bishop said they both had to pray hard for the horse NOT to win. The horse placed. Ohhhhh.
