Hughie Considine:

The arrangement of the front cover of Meet the Beatles—John Paul George on top, Ringo at lower right—suggested to me that Ringo existed on a slightly lower plane from the other three. The photographer Robert Freeman, who also took the cover shots for Rubber Soul and Help!, confirmed that the placement was deliberate: In Freeman’s words, “He was the last to join the group, he was the shortest and he was the drummer.”

In the summer of 2016, I saw the MC5 tribute band "Future/Now" at the Red Bank Elks Lodge. (I saw the local Iggy tribute band "The Street Walking Cheetahs" there the following summer. The groups have common members.)
Their drummer allegedly used a kit that belonged to Dennis Thompson!
