I used to listen to Stone's show on KPFK in LA many years ago, and I was on the fence for the most part. WTF is this?! Since then I have acquired an appreciation for his work, an openness to it. Still, those early moments were formative.

Hello Sam and horse finders! Will catch the whole show later. Hey, was it just me, or did the Hoof and Mouth backing band sound especially good this year? Sometimes, I was like, for an ad hoc, special occasion backing band, this is just wow! I know they rehearse, and have some accomplished players, but still. Often tight, good audio mix, great blend of sounds, and some killer guitar work. Kudos!
