New Grass was some strange attempt to get some popularity and sales, not at all like the other albums. I like his mix of abstract playing and primitives (and that buzzsaw tone), a bit like Ornette in that way, but he's one of these either you love it or hate it kind of artists.
Been listening to Davis S. Ware every night this past week, talkabout amazing (buzzsaw) tones!
