Hello Kris and Scott67 and I expect Matt and Candy will be here too.

That jazz 7" show last week was nice. I've pointed a few folks to it for archive listen.

It took me a while to figure out a diamond in the back refered to caddy''s logo in the back.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:06pm
WR:

Aha, NGH, I hadn't put that together.

Candy-O'67:

Hey, Kris, Matt, Scottio, NGH, WR! We're all here!
Avatar 10:07pm
Kris Holmes:

There's a certain model/year of Cadillac had a diamond shaped rear window & that's the "diamond in the back"
Avatar 10:07pm

(like, it took me 21 years from the first time I heard the song, and I first I heard it was from Yo La Tengo.)

@Kris, all through the late 60s and 70s. (My grandfather had one in the early 80s when I was 5-7 years old. (he got it about the time I was born).

still b/p:

I'd always assumed it was a reference to a customized feature, like the TV antenna. And 70s Caddies and Continentals with other modified and added street-showy elements sometimes had custom opera window shapes. Although now I've just seen pics of full rear window replaced with opaque section around fair-sized diamond shaped glass.

Were these all digging acquisitions for future sale?
Avatar 10:34pm
Kris Holmes:

Not all. I don't think I have Percy Sledge, Eddie Floyd, Shirley & Shep, Holland-Dozier, so they're getting filed. Reggie Garner is a condition upgrade.

I’ll agree partially with Kris but I also think it’s good and important for Tina to tell her own story in her own words which is not something that has occurred enough. But it wasn’t revelatory for me.
