Well - Tom T. Hall also passed.
& Powell St. John - Texan Songwriting associate of Janis Joplin & the 13th Floor Elevators.

OK. Strong contender for First Goth Song
...tho' TheBeatles had done Baby's In Back a year earlier ;) ...

Have listen to several early Stones cuts like this, and besides the distinctive simple but effective fills he did, the mesh with the rhythm guitar is so tight.

hmm I will have to listen to that one

...I woulda thot the Everlys were born even earlier before TheBeatles et al - as they were like a Wave before them. True pioneers. But they also started *very* young.

...'Baby's In Black' is cod Country style - but the subject matter is Black Humor. In 1965 !

Thank you @6:02 @Rich in Washington for mentioning Sheila Bromberg. Quick search and I found:

www.the-paulmccartney-project.com...

The McCartney blog entry quotes an interview in 2013. She is quoted: “It was an awfully long time ago now but still it’s a worthwhile project and I enjoyed playing with them,” she said.

Bit further on she notes that the only Beatle in the studio that day was McCartney and working with him wasn't smooth because he wasn't sure what he wanted but they made it through it. More blah blah on the link.

As for the thank you, yes, she has passed. In the little bit of her in the interview and in the vid that is linked, I get an impression of someone who enjoyed life. Cheering.

We got through OK, even right at 5 PM. Slow from the approach to the Whitestone on, but never stopped. Not the worst reentry at all. I decided we'd do the river crossing far upriver and come down on this side rather than attempting the GWB and Manhattan.
