Happy Sint Pannekoek, PK!

So there I go into the kitchen and bake some pancakes. I already have the stroop and basterdsuiker ready, I also am going to make some savoury ones. Toad stools, cheese, those kinds of things.

I am BACK. Was out of town since last Wed. You kids didn't hold a party in here while your mother and I were out, did you?

(You certainly SHOULD have!)

Hi Mr Fab!

1960s I suppose
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm

Hi Jan! Good day Paper Kos, Herr Fab, Peke!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm
Feldy:

I love retro-futurism
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:24pm

Hi Feldy!

I just ate a particularly nice cheese pancake. But for the rest everything's okay.

Peke:

where do you find all this music, Jan?
Of course l know you love music, so l guess you must have a huge collection, but still,...
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:31pm
Jan Turkenburg:

No, I won't reveal the secret of my musical sorcery!
Avatar 12:33pm
Mr Fab:

love this Agony Bag. Is it from the '70s, or do they just have an authentic glam sound?
Avatar 12:35pm
Mr Fab:

It was like an off-brand Alice Cooper. (Which is a compliment, really!)
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:35pm
Jan Turkenburg:

It was a 'black widow' spin off
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Topsy... That name takes me back to that awful book Princess Daisy by Judith Kranz.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Three Soyuz spacecraft!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm
Feldy:

Loved that Topsy Küppers tune
Avatar 12:41pm
Mr Fab:

Never would have figured you for a chick-lit reader, PK.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Hey, I was eleven when I read it - with so-called red ears because of the steaming sex scenes in it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

The Newbõdies. The first occurrence of the Rock-tilde? Like the Rock Umlaut?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm
Feldy:

Did anybody else watch all of the nearly eight hours of Beatles: Get Back?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

@ Feldy: Yes. The first episode, last night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

Took some time to get into it, I must admit, although I consider myself a big Beatles-fan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm
Feldy:

It's difficult to sit through that long of anything on TV, but it pays off for sure
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:56pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Talking of Beatles. This is Sean Lennon
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

@ Feldy It does. The editing has been done quite well. You can see George getting fed up with Paul's pushy bossiness and John's (Yoko/heroin-induced?) indifference. Although he comes to the sessions with two almost-ready gems, no one really listens.
Avatar 1:00pm
Mr Fab:

I remember actively disliking Primus, but that was quite cool.
Avatar 1:06pm
Peke:

Primus is hard to get used to....
But the Claypool Lennon Delirium is something different, musically speaking.
ProgRock re-issued, so to speak.
I missed bands like that....
so l'm glad l discovered them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm
Feldy:

Loving these selections, Jan

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm

Cheers.
