Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm

Neither have I, Polyus, so I thought it was a solid place to begin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm
KimSorise:

It had kind of gotten pushed back as other LPs were moved forward... open backed shelving. So I rescued it and gave it first play!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04pm
KimSorise:

Thank you DocJazz, I was feeling a bit self conscious for a few minutes so I appreciate that! Sometimes when I don't plan - i get a little flustered and have to make quick decisions. I kind of put myself through the emotional ringer at times. haha!

It's a fantastic documentary!

I have this Thomas album but totally forgot about him doing that laugh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23pm

That laugh was great. I'm starting to get into more male jazz vocalists and Leon Thomas is one I need to hear more of.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:27pm
WR:

listener Rey, add Joe Lee Wilson of jazz singers worth checking out. I found out about him from some early 70s Archie Shepp releases.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm
listener Rey:

@WR
Thanks for the tip, I'm adding him to my list.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm
KimSorise:

Hi Rey! Welcome. Yes, I completely spaced on Juana Molina except for one CD I was given years ago, but then put my CDs away for a decade. Anyway - she is incredible and I have been slowly buy up her catalogue.

Leon Thomas carries a piece of my heart, and I too found him because of Archie Shepp. He is on the For Losers LP
