January 30, 2022: Special Rebroadcast of a "Vintage" Show!
Mike Sin had to take off this week, so please enjoy this special rebroadcast of a show from August 9, 2020 -- the original playlist is right HERE!HERE!HERE!
Folks! Please enjoy this rebroadcast of a vintage show from 2020 when I was still pre-recording the shows at my home studio in the wee hours of the morning! It features a special set from DJ SOS!
Note how calm and "professional" I sound at this time before I started boozin' it up and doing the show live from WFMU studios!
Feel free to chat and comment here and have the usual good time! Thanks!
Mike - Enjou W-A-I-K-I-K-I BEACH AREA--glad you got out of here before the East-Coast Super snow storm. Go to Royal Hawaiian Hotel (Pink Palace) & have a birthday drink for me & Matt too:))) Super views & do Catamaran there w/the blue sails - sunset cruise - the BEST!!
Will do LesleyK! On Tuesday it's going up to 40 in Chicago followed immediately by cold and perhaps a foot and half of snow. I just keep visualizing summer to get through it all.
Yeah this was pre percussion closet mike sin! But love the show so far.don't think I heard this particular show before and glad to hear Tide is High again!
Hi, Mom Whig. I think only three inches or so fell here. The way the wind was blowing, my driveway was almost clear this morning. Solar panels are all fine and converting photons.
Lesley we had that Sat - today cloudy & grey - no winds though - off soon to continue my Birthday w/ my brother, his wife, my other son & wife - zooming to others not here.....their birthdays too (brother & his wife) - so 3 of us.....more pie & cake.
I have a ukelele Mom Whig(have not played it in a few years)...and also mementos from my trip to Kauai in 2014 (friend got married on Hanalei bay...I loved Kauai...the nature island). Got to spend a week or so there. Lots of snorkeling, boat rides, tried paddle boarding and had lot of fancy drinks and went to a luau for the friend's pre wedding party.

Lesley - sounded like a perfect time there.
Bri - cold here in VA too.
Mike - Yes N Shore is the place to be - done it many times while living there and visiting after moving back to VA.

I wanted to surf in Kauai. But didnt get a chance.. but conditions looked a lot more difficult there than where I surfed in Costa Rica (I only surfed once). And way more shark warnings in Kauai
One of my adventures was to hike up Mauna Loa. They were constructing the Keck telescopes on Mauna Kea and that day there was some welding accident (fire?) and at least one person died.
It was pretty cold up on top. There was an unheated hut with plenty of army blankets. I had some sweatpants and a light jacket because what idjit would bring a parka to Hawaii? I thought if I twisted an ankle or something and died of exposure how crazy that would be.
I went to the outhouse in the middle of the night. I remember glancing up and noticed that the stars weren't twinkling at the high altitude. I regret that I didn't take a longer look. I was cold and wanted to go back under the army blankets!
