Brian, I know what you mean. under Eisenhower . a Republican - top tax rates were around 90%, and now even the progressive Dems don't dare go over 50. Also very clear is the chasm between the US and Europe; even European media called Sanders "radical left" because he advocated for things like free education and universal health care, things that not even conservatives call into question over here.
