	4:12pm Rich in Washington: My kitty Tigger in his older age has decided to sleep with me every night and he gets up with my alarm clock and if I am two seconds late emerging from the bedroom, he comes after me meowing frantically. It's kinda cute.

	4:12pm motelchronicler: my departed old lady cat was named Chloe which caused a lot of confusion in college because there was also a very beautiful person named Chloe on the fringes of our social circles. One time some friends were praising Chloe the person and I interjected "yeah, she's gorgeous, but she did chew a lot of the fur off her tummy when she had fleas."
	4:13pm arb: I've gone through 4 cats. 2 were re-homed and 1 disappeared. The other one got eaten by a bird of prey. Wight, Marvel, Ingot and Dileep.

	4:16pm HyperDose: My condolences, Flan. On cat #7 now (had 2 dogs as well). Lost my Pepé last August. He was the love of my life and sole support for 10yrs. The older I get the more I find myself looking forward to the end, as everyone I love is over yonder.

	4:21pm motelchronicler: Chloe the cat was skeptical of men but also suspicious of women's liberation and would always try to chaperone dates when I lived in a house full of gals. You'd try to sit next to your sweetie on the couch and she'd wedge her body between you to make sure no funny business happened.
	4:21pm solo mon: Chicklet was a trip. She was the cat I had the psychic disturbance with. She thought I was her husband.

	4:24pm HyperDose: The afternoon before the foster dropped off princess Missy I was in the ER and overheard a lady nurse say "don't get a female cat, they're bitches". My last boy was certainly a lot calmer!
	4:24pm solo mon: Taco, my other old cat, would look out the window and cry “Owen, Alan? Owen? Alan?!”

	4:26pm solo mon: One of my cats poops standing up. It’s really disturbing.
	4:26pm coelacanth∅: toward the end of my time living with my mother we had a small white cat (left in a basket at our door) she was "nameless" because we weren't going to keep her (with the 2 dogs) but we did and i suggested Moby Dick to be ironic. my friends called her prissy perfect. she never got officially named.

	4:27pm motelchronicler: My boy cat had some peeing problems when he was younger and more anxious but now he seems to really enjoy trying to use the litterbox while people are also using the bathroom, which is either weird or endearing depending on your mood
	4:27pm HyperDose: Missy was dumped at a Brooklyn kill shelter at 3 1/2. They had her labeled "Level 5: Red" for behavior. The foster mom had other animals which she didn't like, they overfed her, and she was definitely attacked. I don't blame her for being a bit violent at first. She's an angel now. Environment is everything.

	4:40pm Franco Twinkie: I'm a late bloomer when it comes to loving cats because I've always been very allergic, to the point I've had to leave peoples houses(even had to pass on getting laid!) But now that we are the official drop-in center for the neighborhood, they give me so much pleasure to watch their social interactions on the front porch.

	4:42pm HyperDose: WFMU was such a comfort the day I said goodbye to my kitty. Everyone was so nice. Especially ARB who gave her condolences on her show during a back announce (thank you again). I forget a lot of things, kindness isn't one of them.

	4:43pm coelacanth∅: we stole our downstairs neighbor's cat, Sebastian, when we got news they were moving out. kept him inside until they were gone. they figured he disappeared and didn't seem concerned. their other cat had disappeared earlier, i think stolen by people up the street. he was king of the hood, ~20# with no fat -just muscle and scar tissue. great cat. sweet sweet thing, except apparently to other cats!
	4:43pm flannery: nina was naturally pretty chubby! people would sometimes try to fat shame her but she was very healthy up until she wasn't. not an overeater though. as my vet said when i asked about her weight ..."mmm cats are fat"

	4:46pm arb: We were lovingly gazing into each others eyes, but then my eyeball moved and it seemed to trigger his insect hunting instinct and he batted it.
	4:46pm Andres: Friends out in the wilds of B.C. had a humongous cat. Name: Bearbait. Not to worry, they were far enough in town that it wasn’t an actual risk.

	4:48pm HyperDose: @ARB That happened to me! Luckily she didn't get the eyeball. Got her a month after losing my last one, so I was still very much grieving. I'd be crying and looking for comfort, she'd lash out, and it would make everything worse. So glad we're over that period.

	🐛 4:50pm Aitch: Reg was trying to kill an annoying dog and accidentally bit me. Spent 2 days in hospital on IV antibiotics. I hated that particular dog, I should have just let them sort it out. Reg a 20lb Bengal, hates dogs
	4:50pm coelacanth∅: Franco, or an asthma attack. but i'm not allergic to all cats, and if they're bathed every few months most cats i'm fine with -but most people like them filthy!

	🐛 4:51pm Aitch: It's the dried saliva from licking themselves that causes the allergies. Wipe them down with a damp cloth helps. Note on some cats that might require armoured gauntlets

	4:56pm Andres: Lately, there are more photos on my phone of the cats and dog than of the children, the pets being indifferent to having photos taken of them.
	4:56pm coelacanth∅: had a friend with a cat named Bennie. his girlfriend moved in and they bathed Bennie every 2 months or so. i'd go over there and end up sleeping on the sofa, where Bennie hung out all day. never had a problem. then the lustbirds broke up, and Bennie stopped getting bathed, and i couldn't be in his house for 20 minutes without a problem.

	4:58pm Rich in Washington: cats are like little love batteries. We fill 'em up and they give it back to us when we least expect it but need it. I'm verklempt at this lovely tribute to your kitty pal, flannery.

One time some friends were praising Chloe the person and I interjected "yeah, she's gorgeous, but she did chew a lot of the fur off her tummy when she had fleas."

	4:26pm coelacanth∅: toward the end of my time living with my mother we had a small white cat (left in a basket at our door) she was "nameless" because we weren't going to keep her (with the 2 dogs) but we did and i suggested Moby Dick to be ironic. my friends called her prissy perfect. she never got officially named.

	4:27pm motelchronicler: My boy cat had some peeing problems when he was younger and more anxious but now he seems to really enjoy trying to use the litterbox while people are also using the bathroom, which is either weird or endearing depending on your mood
	4:27pm HyperDose: Missy was dumped at a Brooklyn kill shelter at 3 1/2. They had her labeled "Level 5: Red" for behavior. The foster mom had other animals which she didn't like, they overfed her, and she was definitely attacked. I don't blame her for being a bit violent at first. She's an angel now. Environment is everything.

But now that we are the official drop-in center for the neighborhood, they give me so much pleasure to watch their social interactions on the front porch.

	4:43pm coelacanth∅: we stole our downstairs neighbor's cat, Sebastian, when we got news they were moving out. kept him inside until they were gone. they figured he disappeared and didn't seem concerned. their other cat had disappeared earlier, i think stolen by people up the street. he was king of the hood, ~20# with no fat -just muscle and scar tissue. great cat. sweet sweet thing, except apparently to other cats!
	4:43pm flannery: nina was naturally pretty chubby! people would sometimes try to fat shame her but she was very healthy up until she wasn't. not an overeater though. as my vet said when i asked about her weight ..."mmm cats are fat"

	4:56pm coelacanth∅: had a friend with a cat named Bennie. his girlfriend moved in and they bathed Bennie every 2 months or so. i'd go over there and end up sleeping on the sofa, where Bennie hung out all day. never had a problem. then the lustbirds broke up, and Bennie stopped getting bathed, and i couldn't be in his house for 20 minutes without a problem.
