Live performance by Invert (Helen Yee: violin, Amalia Daskalakis: viola, Steve Berson: cello, Chris George: cello)

This unique NYC-based string quartet gets their name from the fact that they invert the usual classical standard and use two cellos in their configuration instead of two violins. The result is a darker sound, which they use to their advantage in their modernist compositions. Invert's latest on the Capstone label is called "Between the Seconds" and includes unusual renditions of the Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows" and the ever familiar theme from "Psycho."
  -"Dog Days"
  -"The Peak"
  -(an untitled improv)
  -"Flight of the Killer Bees"
  -"The March"
  -"Salomé"
