	12:13pm dan: @Listening Out There As someone who loves Jane Campion's previous works like "The Piano" and "An Angel At My Table", watching this film felt almost like a punch in the gut. It had some redeeming qualities like good cinematography, music and art direction, but it was more about style over substance.

	12:15pm Marie: Jumping in on the movie talk, I feel the same way about "Licorice Pizza"--like not a lot f there there. More of a pastiche, and not really all that entertaining, fun, etc. if that was what was intended...

	12:18pm adamdoesit: Marie, I didn’t make it through that one, either — and I went to see it in the theater, too! It was one of those movie places where they serve you beers. The beers never came. Usually a big PTA fan, but I was not feeling it.

	🛒 12:21pm Brian in UK: I saw the Power of the Dog. Good, but not great. Enjoyed the Lost Daughter more because you had to pay attention and think.
	12:21pm Marie: UM--I have mastered a dish that I love where I slice potatoes very thinly and chop up a whole onion and cook them in a lot of olive oil and basically steam them (lid goes go on midway through, they're barely browned). The onion is added about midway through, and I add a lot of salt and "onion salt" from TJ's (which is basically a mix of different onions, dried). The taters end up kinda glutinous, tender, and delicious!

	12:45pm doctorjazz: Ozzie just went to the Vet Wednesday for blood, on meds for Doggie Cushing Syndrome, checking on his med dosage (could go up some, but OK to hold at present levels. He's much better since taking the meds. Our bank account is doing worse, though, these Vet Internists really cost a pretty penny).

	12:53pm Uncle Michael: Seeing Lloyd and Quine in the band live was insane. They threatened to overwhelm the pop songs but the pop songs held their own.

	12:54pm Aaron in Minneapolis: That Girlfriend album is one of pops finest. Actually the drummer for Sweet, Ric Menck, works at the record store about 3 blocks from my apartment, and we are good friends.

	12:56pm doctorjazz: I remember seeing Sweet as well with Quine, don't believe Lloyd was in the band, though. It was a really good show. (saw Lloyd in the original Television, that was pretty crazy).
	12:57pm Roberto: About halfway through the Girlfriend LP, one starts to wonder when Matthew and co. will run out of gas. Spoiler: they don't.

It had some redeeming qualities like good cinematography, music and art direction, but it was more about style over substance.

	12:21pm Marie: UM--I have mastered a dish that I love where I slice potatoes very thinly and chop up a whole onion and cook them in a lot of olive oil and basically steam them (lid goes go on midway through, they're barely browned). The onion is added about midway through, and I add a lot of salt and "onion salt" from TJ's (which is basically a mix of different onions, dried). The taters end up kinda glutinous, tender, and delicious!
