I get the feeling Bob is going for a Van Morrison vibe on this. Not so successfully. But ok for a Bob Seger song.

Bob Seger shall not be underestimated! I like, here, how 'clues' could be mistaken for 'clothes'... this was our 7th grade make-out song back in the day.

Early B. Seger known as 'The Bob Seger Sound System' was amazeballs... Detroit produced some of the best rock. Iggy is God.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:40pm
patrick321:

It's odd but I actually pay more attention to it as a song, for being played here. After the thousand times I've heard it, it's still great.
  9:40pm
PJ:

Way back in middle school, I saw a Ralph Bakshi animated movie about rock and roll that inexplicably picked Bob Seger to represent the apotheosis of rock and roll. (If I remember correctly - it was a long time ago.)

@karl - seger's first band. he started writing his own songs so he went solo, and Brown produced the first Last Herd recordings
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56pm
karlward:

Joe: And I mentioned this way back when, but thanks for the education on early Seger. I always liked Seger's collaborations (Eagles, Thin Lizzy) better than his own stuff, but after hearing his early stuff from you I got more into proper Seger.

speaking of the eagles, Seger offered Glenn Frey a spot in the Bob Seger system, but Frey's mom refused to let him join!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm

Well it's a good thing that the Eagles kept it clean and wholesome. I hear they ran a tight ship. No excess at all.
Avatar 9:59pm
Joe B:

so it's his mom's fault we had the eagles!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00pm

One of my deep south uncles used to give me a hard time for listening to the Eagles, he would frequently ask "so you still listening to that fake Skynyrd?"

When I moved into my new place I received a Warriors poster in the mail signed by Walter Beck (Swan) and it read, "good luck with the new place Lawrence!" I was utterly baffled until my friend revealed the fact that she had gone into an appliance store in New Haven and she saw a Warriors poster behind the counter. She asked about it and the owner said, "I love that movie. My buddy Walter was in that." She asked him if he would possibly be willing to ask Michael to autograph a Warriors poster and write a special message and send it to me. Incredible surprise.
