I was asking him probing questions about the food there, and he responded with a somewhat evasive answer "I've eaten snakes, dogs and cats...." and here he paused for effect, and got a particularly insane look on his face "But what I really want to eat is a RAT!" I concluded that we had a different criteria for what constituted a good restaurant.

Big mistake. This started a heated discussion of how to dispose of it. She wanted to call animal control. I just wanted to fling it in the trash. It was a stalemate and neither of us would budge. Next time I went outside it was gone.

	🌫 11:36pm Franco Twinkie: NGH, on morning I was driving up Saint Albans Road and I saw an enormous dead possum in the middle of the street. I pulled over and got out to examine it. It had the most luxuriant and clean coat. It was a marvel really. A cop drove by, and within ten minutes an animal control truck was driving past me like a dinosaur had been spotted eating the shirts and underwear off someones clothes line.

	🌫 11:55pm Franco Twinkie: RR, I know. Coming face to face with a possum can be very disconcerting. When I lived in Pasadena I had an old sofa in my garage. One day I opened a box of old clothes that was abandoned for years on top of it. Among my vintage thrift store sports shirts was about ten eraser pink baby possums turning their blind eyes toward me and squeaking. I closed the box and went in the house to drink some coffee and think about what I had just seen. When I went back into the garage twenty minutes later, they were all gone.

I concluded that we had a different criteria for what constituted a good restaurant.

It had the most luxuriant and clean coat. It was a marvel really. A cop drove by, and within ten minutes an animal control truck was driving past me like a dinosaur had been spotted eating the shirts and underwear off someones clothes line.

One day I opened a box of old clothes that was abandoned for years on top of it. Among my vintage thrift store sports shirts was about ten eraser pink baby possums turning their blind eyes toward me and squeaking. I closed the box and went in the house to drink some coffee and think about what I had just seen. When I went back into the garage twenty minutes later, they were all gone.
