"He drinks like a Fish?"

Do freshwater fish drink a lot of water?

Freshwater fish never drink water because their bodies are saltier than the surrounding water. Osmosis draws water into the fish’s body through its skin and gills, unlike saltwater fish, where the water is drawn out of the body.

Pax:

I'm certain everyone knows how katydids got their name.
But for the benefit of the possible one person out there who doesn't know I'm going to tell it.
Someone once upon a time
Heard the chirping sound of the insect in question, and decided that it sounded like it was saying the words (Katie did it). Well that creative thought stuck and spread out from wherever whomever it came from.

I was going to buy a used opal GT once upon a Time, but I decided against it because the car was very uncomfortable to sit in. But the worst part was that the foot pedals we're so close to each other that I kept on stepping on my own two feet every time I stepped down on them, I thought that made for hazardous conditions to operate the car.

Just to unravel something to clarify my last text; - every time I'd step down on the foot pedals I would step on my own feet because the pedals were positioned so close to each other.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35am
Ken From Hyde Park:

During wheat harvest time, if one of the trucks full of grain was parked in the yard for a while, we'd toss one of the chickens up there to feast on crickets, grasshoppers & beetles that were crawling on top of the pile. I'd free ladybugs that I found, lest they wind up in the grain bin.

@Pax, that's a great point! So best practices for rescuers who find friendly cats is to advertise them as Found Pets and have them scanned for a chip. Only after due diligence fails to locate an owner, does a rescue put him/her up for adoption.
