BTW, if you want to poke around for books, Blue Hill Books is quite good. And The Big Chicken Barn out on the main road has an entire 2nd floor of used books. It's the The Strand but it's as close as we get around here.

Police and Thieves - [not a request] F-ing up the nation
Socially/Politically Conservative Spanish Police/Private Security make so many prejudicial actions based upon one's appearance ... Old clothes and an odd hat???
Today there was a new guy at the park entrance .. Simon Skateboards ahead to get a table .. new guy asks me where I am going = with racquet ball racquets sticking out of my wee canvas bag .. I asked him why he is asking me
and no one else??? He shut up and walked off..
Yesterday - Simon and his wee buddies play footie in the neighborhood park every eve =9pm ... again, he goes ahead... I walk in with Simon's football and a classic old Basque Fonton Stick and a young cop tells me I cannot Brin the stick in the park .. It was not the stick... it was my clothing that caused the hassle ... The older copartner explained it is a classic North Spain sports stick and said ..is ok go.." ..

Pero SIN FASCISTAS !!!

Does that Big Chicken Barn have LPs, too? Maybe we'll head up there when it rains on Wed.

The only thing I like about the Eagles is that I was looking for EFD on NYU New Afternoon Music and camc across (1980???) an FMU fundraiser in which the 2 DJs were threatening to play the Eagles if people did not pledge ..

"Big A little A/Bouncing B.. the system might get ya but it won't get me...
if you have a job .. you can work for Revolution in yer place of employment.."
Students "age out" of the NYC DOE and can only do GED (which is not a stigmata) ... Had a student who came back to me at 23 yo and wanted a job at UPS but needed the diploma but could not pass the math GED... He only needed one US History credit and 4 PD(Gym)[MANDATORY!!!] .. I registered him for night school (pre full computer Ville) for the history with his student ID # but omitted the Birth Date and gave him papers to do the Gym credits at a Parks Dept Rec center, but showed him how to forge the docs ... crumpled up the docs .. tea stains... different Supervisor (uncles) signatures - pen colors, etc.. He did it !!!
