I have had a flock of 10 - 12 wild turkeys visiting us several times daily. I've watched them from when there were only 4 adults & 6 - 8 chicks to now when they are all grown up. Great flyers (short distance). Roost in the trees. I have no interest in eating them.

@Toothgrinder Tom: Good morning, non-migratory birds feathers keep them warm in winter. For example, a wild turkey here in the Northeast has over 5000 feathers on it's body

anyone remember sundays on wkcr, a show called cowboy joes radio ranch?
  8:13am
Listener Bop Monroe:

Reviews for the film were mixed. Writing in the New York Times, critic Janet Maslin called the movie "an odd mixture of inordinately graceful touches and sweeping, clumsy ones." Stephen Holden in Rolling Stone called it "a morose little art film." However, critic Roger Ebert praised the film as "a wonderful movie, an affectionate character study with a lot of good music in it." The film was commercially unsuccessful, grossing less than $900,000 despite a budget of $8 million.

Once, back in the 80s, I was trudging home from a New Year's Eve party, in an icy slush storm, across a bleak isolated concourse between several 70 story buildings, ill and tired, with strange chemicals percolating through my brain, and I realized that all round me in the bumpy icy wet surface, there were MANY giant spiders.
