David Bowie's discography has to be the most diverse discography I've listened to. I'm always surprised to find how underrated is '90s releases are. Which are my personal favorite. I was surprised to learn he had toured with nine inch nails. I don't know your taste but I might recommend you give Earthling a try. I can totally understand why you may not like it though.

i feel the same way about The Beach Boys -- sure, they are wonderful, considered great, icons, etc. by many -- for me, except for a few songs, i am just like -- meh 😹😹

i fell in love with David Bowie (Lou Reed too) when i was 13, in 1972 (although i do not who came into my life first) -- not "romantic," but they were like these two really cool, infinitely talented older brothers 🖤🖤
